BEE Macro

I’ve been craving to shoot some macro photos for quite some time but since I don’t have a dedicated macro lens, I’ve decided to use my Lensbaby Composer with stacked close-up filters of +4 and +10.  With timing and luck, I was able to capture these bee images while avoiding the sting for getting way too close (less than 2 inches from the subject).  These images were submitted to the photo contest of Lensbaby at http://www.lensbaby.com, unfortunately it didn’t win.

Note: No bees were harmed in the shooting of these images
